Jingle Cruise Is Back: The Jungle Gets Its Holiday Makeover

Starting November 3, the World Famous Jungle Cruise in Adventureland turns into a holly-jolly expedition complete with skipper puns, floating presents, and garlands made from jungle vines. It runs through January 4, 2027.

The boats still follow the same river path through the Amazon, Congo, Nile, and Mekong, but everything else leans into the season. Beginning November 3, 2026, Jungle Cruise becomes Jingle Cruise at Magic Kingdom. The overlay stays up through January 4, 2027, and the classic version returns the next morning.

Walt Disney World's Jingle Cruise holiday makeover of the Jungle Cruise ride.

Skippers trade their usual jokes for holiday ones. You’ll hear the same deadpan delivery, just aimed at Christmas trees that somehow sprouted in the jungle and gifts that floated away from the dock. The boats pick up festive names for the season, and the queue gets wrapped in lights and improvised decorations the crew supposedly built from whatever they could find—vines, rope, and a few stray presents.

Look for the details as you cruise. String lights drape the boathouse. Seasonal props tuck into familiar scenes. Wrapped boxes bob in the water. The story is that the skippers are stuck out there trying to celebrate anyway, and they’re making it work with jungle materials and plenty of puns.

Jingle Cruise has been a Magic Kingdom tradition since 2013. It runs during regular park hours and also during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights, so you don’t need a separate ticket just to ride. Lightning Lane is available. One planning note: Adventureland isn’t open for Early Entry, so resort guests can’t hop on at the 30-minute early window. Rope drop or later evening is the usual strategy once December crowds arrive.

Tomorrow, November 2, is the last day for the regular Jungle Cruise until January 5. After that, the holiday version takes over for the rest of the season.
