Walt Disney World Adds Hours for the First Week of November

Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios all pick up extra time the week of November 1 as the resort shifts from fall break into the holiday season.

Walt Disney World quietly lengthened operating hours for the week of November 1 through November 7, giving guests a little more breathing room as school breaks and the first wave of holiday travelers arrive.

The biggest stretch comes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On Sunday, November 1 and Saturday, November 7 the park now stays open until 8:00 p.m., two hours later than previously listed. Monday the 2nd, Thursday the 5th, and Friday the 6th each gain an hour and close at 7:00 p.m. Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort hotel guests remains at 7:30 a.m. every morning, so the early rope-drop window for Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest is still intact.

Magic Kingdom adds a single but useful hour on Saturday, November 7, closing at 11:00 p.m. instead of 10:00 p.m. The rest of the week holds steady at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with Early Entry starting at 8:30 a.m. for resort guests. Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens thirty minutes earlier on that same Saturday, November 7, at 8:30 a.m.; its closing time stays at 7:00 p.m. EPCOT keeps its familiar 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. rhythm for the week.

The extensions line up with the resort’s shift from Halloween to Christmas. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights begin in earnest on November 8, which means Magic Kingdom will start closing early to day guests on those evenings. The extra hours earlier in the week give people one last stretch of full-day park time before the party schedule tightens the calendar.

For anyone already holding park reservations that week, the changes are automatic — no need to rebook. If you’re still deciding between Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom on November 1 or 7, the later Animal Kingdom close makes a full day there more realistic, especially if you want to catch the evening shows or simply linger on the trails after the afternoon crowds thin. Resort guests who can use Early Entry still hold the strongest advantage at both parks.

Park hours can still shift, so it’s worth double-checking the official calendar a day or two before your visit. For now, the extra time is already live and ready for anyone planning the first full week of November.
