Daylight Christmas Parade Filming

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade rolls at 2 p.m. on November 10 and 11 so regular guests can see the holiday floats (and the cameras) without a party ticket.

The holiday lights are still a few weeks away, but Magic Kingdom is already rolling out the Christmas parade in full daylight. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, and Wednesday, November 11, 2026, replacing the usual Festival of Fantasy Parade both afternoons.

That timing lines up with the annual ABC holiday special taping. The parade normally only appears after dark during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so these two daytime runs give day guests a rare chance to see the full route without an extra ticket.

The parade still starts in Frontierland near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, moves through Liberty Square, circles the hub in front of Cinderella Castle, and continues down Main Street, U.S.A. In past tapings, Main Street has been restricted or filled with Cast Members to keep guests off camera, so the clearest views have been from Frontierland and Liberty Square. Afternoon light also shows off the float details and costumes that can disappear under the night lighting.

ABC has not announced exact air dates yet. Last year the Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular aired December 1 and the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade aired Christmas Day. We’ll update when the 2026 broadcast times are confirmed.

If you’re in the park either afternoon, the 2 p.m. show is worth building your day around—especially if you want photos of the floats in natural light before the full holiday overlay arrives.

We've had the pleasure of attending a few of these parade tapings and they never disappoint. Just plan on standing a long time and enjoy the process!
