Caribe Royale Orlando Turns 30
Caribe Royale Orlando opened in October 1996 as three pink towers on 23 acres of pasture, about a mile and a half from Walt Disney World. Suites, families, park days. Thirty years later the grounds cover 60 acres, the meeting space has grown into the Grand Caribe Convention Center, and the line they chose for the birthday is the honest one: 30 years in. Just getting started.

We were at the party last night for the big media celebration, World Center Drive glowing, the cake doing what a 30th cake should do. Caribe is still the all-suite place you book when the parks are the plan and you want a full kitchen and a ballroom in the same zip code. The towers are pink which we love.

The official day is October 15. The party is longer than that. The campaign runs from this fall through spring 2027, and it is built for guests, not just a press release.

All through October, one guest a day gets a surprise. A villa upgrade. A pool cabana. A tasting at The Venetian Chop House. A spa treatment. Time in the Stadium Club simulators. Champagne and dessert. Sometimes a future weekend. They are calling it 30 Days, 30 Surprises.

If you are turning 30 between October 1, 2026, and October 14, 2027, The 30 Club is the matching gift: a welcome amenity, a birthday dessert, the anniversary cocktail, Stadium Club® credit, and a keepsake. There is also a 30-hour booking window with a limited number of suites at the 1996 opening rate. That one will go fast. Set an alert.
In the lobby this month, the pastry team built a cake you can stand next to, and a chocolate display beside it. The drink is The Royale Rose, limited, and a portion benefits one of the resort’s community partners. On the social side, 30 Stories over 30 Weeks is the long look back: associates, guests, the Chop House, the villas, the Stadium Club®.

The building work is the other half of the birthday. The Venetian Chop House, the AAA Four Diamond dining room, came back in late September after a renovation with a 1,400-bottle wine wall and a dry-aging room. Villa redesigns started phasing in this month. The Stadium Club, the two-story sports room that opened in 2024, has an expansion aimed at late 2027. Since December, the Coral Ballroom and Martinique breakouts have added 20,000 square feet to the convention center. The resort has put the recent investment near $180 million. Managing director Amaury Piedra has been clear about the point: evolve, and do not lose the hospitality that opened the doors.

Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter of Caribe Royale Orlando
As Caribe Royale Orlando celebrates three decades, the anniversary marks the beginning of the resort's next phase of growth through several significant investments designed to elevate the guest experience across leisure and meetings groups:
The Venetian Chop House Reimagined – In late September Caribe Royale Orlando will unveil the next evolution of its signature AAA Four Diamond Italian steakhouse, featuring a newly redesigned dining room, dry-aging room and 1,400 bottle wine cabinet, alongside a refreshed culinary program, an enhanced guest experience, and a refined identity, further strengthening the resort’s award-winning dining portfolio.
Redesigned Villas – Beginning in October, Caribe Royale Orlando will begin the phased debut of its newly redesigned two-bedroom Villas, introducing refreshed accommodations that blend contemporary luxury with the privacy and space that guests and group travelers have long valued. As part of the next phase of the redesigned villas, Caribe Royale Orlando will roll out a brand new, villa-exclusive amenity for multi-gen travelers in early 2027: a dedicated concierge service who will book on and off-site experiences for villa guests, taking the hassle and stress out of group trip planning.
Tailgate at Stadium Club® – Expected to debut late 2027, Tailgate will expand Caribe Royale Orlando’s acclaimed Stadium Club® sports entertainment venue, creating an even more immersive destination for sports fans, corporate groups and incentive programs while reinforcing Caribe Royale Orlando’s growing position as a premier destination for experiential meetings and events.
“For 30 years, Caribe Royale Orlando has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our guests, while staying true to the exceptional hospitality that has defined us since opening day,” said Amaury Piedra, Vice President Operations & Managing Director of Caribe Royale Orlando. “As we celebrate this milestone, we're also doubling down on our commitment to continually reimagine the guest experience for leisure travelers, meeting planners and event attendees. Whether guests are gathering for a family vacation, a corporate conference or a championship weekend, we want Caribe Royale Orlando to continue to set the standard for hospitality across Orlando while honoring the legacy that has made us such a special destination for the last three decades.”
We enjoyed the evening's celebration so much. Great food. Great party. Great people.
